Breeun Johnson

Breeun's journey from a dedicated gym enthusiast to a passionate dancer began with a transformative invitation to a Bachata class, redirecting her path and igniting her love for dance.

Driven by a profound connection to Kizomba, Breeun established Kizomba Spokane in 2019 with a clear mission: to bring this captivating dance style to her local community, and create a space where dancers could celebrate its beauty and heart.

Breeun's teaching philosophy centers around fostering autonomy and agency in her students, allowing them to transcend templates and patterns. With Breeun's dedicated support and nurturing approach, dancers flourish and evolve, unlocking new dimensions of expression while experiencing remarkable growth. This progressive process propels dancers on a profound journey of personal and artistic exploration.

As the owner of Satori Dance and Wellness, her Washington State studio, Breeun witnesses extraordinary transformations. Her students conquer anxieties and fears, find healing from heartbreak and loss, and blossom into skilled dancers and passionate ambassadors for the art forms she teaches. With unwavering commitment and integrity, she enriches their lives within a nurturing dance community.

Simultaneously pursuing her Master's in Counseling at EWU, Breeun endeavors to integrate dance as a modality for healing, growth, and recovery. Her dedication enhances the lives of her dancers, offering them a holistic approach to well-being through the transformative power of dance.
